KimpWatch (the “Service”) respects your privacy and is designed around a simple principle: we do not collect personal information. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains, in plain language, what information the Service handles, how and why that information is processed, and what choices you have.
The Service is a free, publicly accessible information site that requires no registration or login. Because of this design, the Service does not collect or store information that identifies you as an individual.
1. Personal Information We Collect
The Service has no sign-up or login process and does not collect any personal information that could identify you directly or indirectly — no name, date of birth, phone number, email address, postal address, payment details, or exchange account credentials.
- You are never asked to enter personal information to use the Service.
- The Service does not access or request any financial or trading information, including exchange accounts, wallet addresses, or asset holdings.
- The Service does not present any forms that collect personal information.
2. Information Stored in Your Browser (Local Storage)
To make the Service more convenient, certain preferences are saved in your web browser. This information stays on your device (in local storage) and is never transmitted to, collected by, or viewed on our servers.
What is stored
- Your selected base exchange and comparison exchange
- Your chosen exchange-rate basis for premium calculations (USD rate or Tether rate)
- Your list of favorite (starred) coins
- Your dark mode / light mode theme preference
Why it is stored
These preferences exist solely so the Service remembers your setup on your next visit, saving you from configuring it again each time.
How to delete it
You can remove all of this information at any time by clearing the site data (local storage) in your browser settings. After deletion, the Service simply returns to its default settings.
3. Information Generated Automatically
In the course of operating the Service reliably, certain technical information may be generated and temporarily recorded by our hosting infrastructure, including:
- Access timestamps and service usage records
- Browser type and operating system information
- Connection details such as IP address
This information is used only for operating the Service, diagnosing outages, and detecting and blocking abusive or malicious traffic. The Service does not combine, process, or use this information to identify individual visitors.
4. Third-Party Services and International Transfers
The Service integrates with a number of external services to deliver live prices, charts, and coin information. When you use these features, your browser connects directly to those external services, which means connection details such as your IP address and browser information may be transmitted to those providers, including providers located outside your country.
Main integrated services
- Public cryptocurrency exchange APIs (Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget, KuCoin, Gate, MEXC, Coinbase, and others) — live price data
- TradingView — price charts
- CoinMarketCap — links to coin detail pages
- CDNs for web fonts, static assets, and content delivery
- Exchange-rate providers — currency rates for KRW conversion
Information transmitted to each external service is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy. The Service has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, how those providers handle information; please review their policies if you have concerns.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Service does not use cookies for advertising or visitor tracking. The preferences described in Section 2 are stored in browser local storage, not cookies. Note, however, that embedded third-party services (such as chart widgets) may use cookies or similar technologies of their own, subject to their respective policies.
6. Sharing and Processing by Third Parties
Because the Service collects no personal information, it has none to share with or sell to third parties. The Service may rely on external providers for hosting and content delivery infrastructure; even in those cases, no personal information identifying you is processed.
7. Retention and Deletion
The Service does not collect or hold your personal information, so there is nothing for us to retain or destroy. The locally stored preferences in Section 2 exist only on your device and can be deleted by you at any time; the automatically generated information in Section 3 is kept only temporarily and only to the extent needed for security and operations.
8. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
You have, and can exercise at any time, the following rights:
- The right to erase all preferences the Service has stored by clearing site data (local storage) in your browser settings
- The right to limit data collection by third-party integrations using your browser’s tracking-prevention and cookie-blocking features
- The right to ask questions about this Policy and how information is handled, and to receive an explanation
Because the Service holds no personal information about you, you can exercise these rights directly through the methods above, without any formal access, correction, or deletion request process.
9. Security
By collecting no personal information in the first place, the Service minimizes the risk of exposure at its source. In addition, reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) are applied so that connection information generated while using the Service is handled safely.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service collects no personal information from anyone and does not process information from any specific age group. The content is provided for general informational purposes, and no visitor — including children under 14 — is ever asked to submit personal information.
11. External Links
The Service contains links to external sites such as exchanges, chart pages, and coin information pages. Once you leave the Service, the destination site’s own privacy policy applies, and the Service is not responsible for its practices.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Policy may be updated to reflect changes in applicable law, the Service itself, or its third-party integrations. When the Policy changes, the updated content and its effective date will be posted on this page, and we will endeavor to give more prominent notice of significant changes. Please refer to the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
13. Contact
If you have questions or comments about this Policy or how the Service handles information, please contact the operator at [operator email address]. We will do our best to respond to inquiries in good faith.
